Family holidays
The Maldives is an ideal destination if you are planning on a family vacation. And if you are planning to travel during summer holidays there will be plenty of special offers, on top of what are already low season prices!
And an exciting way to spend time with the family would be by taking an inter-island tour which is usually offered by your resorts. This experience would let you enjoy the sceneries and the picturesque views of the different islands. But another way you could do this would be by renting a Dhoni (a traditional fisherman’s boat). It’s not all that expensive and you get to take part in a cultural experience together with your family. Most of the resorts have facilities that allow tourists to go for such activities. And you could go to Male’ the capital together with your family and experience the local lifestyle.
Resorts usually have facilities where you can go night fishing. If you are into this, why not spend the night catching some fish together with the family. I’m sure it would be a pleasant and fun experience. You can even have your catch cooked by the resort’s chef, a wonderful way to enjoy a family dinner don’t you say.
If you don’t dive, this is the best place and time to learn it. What better way to learn diving than together with your family. It will surely be an unforgettable experience for the whole family. And all the resorts, well most have facilities for your children, such as the complementary children's club and so on. They even have volleyball courts, tennis courts and swimming pools for your kids to enjoy. And if you want to be left alone just together with your partner there’s even baby-sitting services available in most resorts.
